V+아/어/여 주세요 ~ Please do V for me

Adding 아/어/여 주세요 to a verb is a polite way of asking a favour, or asking someone to do something for you. Often ‘좀’ is added which is a politeness intensifier or ‘softens’ the sentence.

Examples
돈가스 사 주세요
Please buy me donkatsu

좀 기다려 주세요
Please wait

조금 기다려 주세요
Please wait a little

물 좀 주세요
Give me some water please

For some information on the differences between 좀 and 조금,  see this great explanation from the European Association for Korean Language Education’s website.
